CEO Speak Session with Dr.BVR Mohan Reddy, Executive Chairman, Cyient Ltd was organized by Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology (GRIET), Hyderabad in association with CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) as part of Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-II) on 01 August 2014 at GRIET campus. Dr Mohan Reddy addressed to a gathering of aspiring engineering students about Innovation & Entrepreneurship. He emphasized on Values, Attitude and Learning and how these factors helped in building an enterprise realm like Cyient.
In the beginning of the session he was delighted to see enthusiasm in aspiring girl students and emphasised the importance of women in society. He said how a woman plays different roles in the progress of society, and appealed everyone to respect women. He desired 1:1 participation by women in education and in every walk of life.
Dr Reddy expressed the importance of values in life to have sustainable and constant growth. He and his associates, he mentioned, are benefitted by following the philosophy values FIRST – fairness, integrity, respect, sincerity and transparency. Attitude is a component through which one can excel in professional career. One has to perform his/her best in every situation which will lead to success. We should inculcate habit to work in teams to achieve bigger goals this factor too plays very important role in success. Learning has to be a continuous process throughout the life. Everyone has to keep update to the latest technologies to compete with others.
Dr Mohan Reddy has interacted with the students and answered various questions related to innovations, entrepreneurship, contemporary skills, incubation centres to create employment. He expressed his commitment to guide young engineers as entrepreneurs as part of Corporate Social Responsibility activities.
The program was attended by Prof PS Raju, Director; Dr Jandhyala N Murthy, Principal; Ms Aruna Mantena, Executive Officer-Development Initiatives, CII; Prof V Vijaya Rama Raju, Coordinator GRIET TEQIP-II and all the faculty and final year students of the institute.
